Friendship

What is friendship I often wonder. Is it suppose to last forever? Can a friendship be one sided? Is it that we often times hold on to friends who actually want to be free?
Oh, the comfort — the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person — having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away. Yes having a friend can be fulfilling.
However To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly.
I think it happens to everyone as they grow up. You find out who you are and what you want, and then you realize that people you’ve known forever don’t see things the way you do. And so you keep the wonderful memories, but find yourself moving on.
So there will be forever friends and moment friends, but don’t worry when they go. After all Everyone wants to ride with you in the limo, but what you need is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.

Friendship Is to be a gift, given from the heart, wrapped in love, accepted with gratitude and treasured forever.
